Summer Quest

Olivia has spent the past two weeks at Summer Quest. We've been excited for her because the two classes she got chosen for was the Broadway class (musical theater) and the Artists class (studies different artists techniques, etc.) This past Friday was the last day. She had a performance for the Broadway class ("Ease On Down the Road"). We all went along with Emily and Cooper.

We were quite amazed at the art that she brought home that day too. It was gorgeous! I'd love to have a place to display it all!

Recital 2010

Recital this year was a lot of fun. Grammy and Aunt Janet flew in for the weekend (such a treat!) We ate at Mimi's Friday night while Olivia was in dance practice. Then on Saturday (the day of the 8 hour dress rehearsal...) we ate at Panera Bread and then headed out to the Robinson with Bella.

























Bella loved her costume. She referred to it as her "Tinkerbell costume". The song her class tapped to was I Feel Good by James Brown. She did a great job!

Aunt Janet stayed to watch the rehearsal with me while Brian, Lee, and Bella left for a few hours before returning.

That evening, we went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner. Liv was so exhausted she was literally laying down in the booth.

The next day, we ate lunch at Olive Garden for Father's Day. Then it was time to get the girls ready to dance! Ashley and Nana came to watch the recitals. Cooper, Auntie and Uncle JJ came after Coop got up from his nap.








We ended it all by eating at Chili's for dinner. Even though it was a long day, it was a fun day!

Isn't this hilarious? My dad gave her this hooded towel for Christmas and she loves it! Looking at this, I can almost hear her growl!

Summer Daze

Bella started summer break before the rest of us. She had to spend a week or two with our friend Julie, and had a blast! She went to the pool almost every day and learned to like Julie's dogs...LOL.


One day she had to go to my friend Kim's house because Julie couldn't keep her. Belle had a GREAT time playing with her little boy Hayden and her 2 1/2 month old baby, Harper. The following day, she went back to Kim's to Hayden's superhero birthday party! This kid has a serious social life! ha!








Well, we all have now had our first week of summer. The kids have started to adjust to life without school (ha!). However, Liv has been at Summer Quest this week (and will continue next week too) from 8:30 - 11:30. She has chosen to be in the musical theater class and an art class. She is having fun!

On Monday, we had a 'Movie Monday' in our room using my projector and pretended we were in a movie theater. On Tuesday, we met Jennifer, Jace, and Abbey at Chuck E Cheese's.



Then yesterday (Wednesday), Sydney and Kenny came over and swam with the girls,


and then that evening we had a delicious dinner of grilled corn, BBQ chicken, and fried okra.


Bella LOVES herself some corn!





Then, of course, we spend most afternoons in the pool... Super fun! Dance practice most evenings as well (recital is this weekend, Nationals in about 2 1/2 weeks away...).

And I can't forget to mention that we are cleaning house and preparing for Lee and Aunt Janet's arrival tomorrow... Then it will be dress rehearsal ALL DAY LONG Saturday and 2 recitals on Sunday... :)
