Disney World!

We went to Disney World over Thanksgiving break with the Kelton clan. It was amazing! We stayed at the Beach Club Resort and had an absolute blast!

Tues, Nov. 22: We went to Magic Kingdom. Got an autograph by White Rabbit, rode on Dumbo, got a fast pass for Thunder Mountain, went to the Haunted Mansion, then rode Thunder Mountain. We then went to Downtown Disney and ate there (and ran into Aunt Janet in the bathroom!) We went back to the hotel and let the kids swim for a bit before bed.

Wed, Nov. 23: We went back to Magic Kingdom. We waited in line to see Mickey and Minnie as well as Rapunzel. Then, we rode the tea cups, met Tigger and Pooh, went on the racetrack (the girls drove us. The whole time Bella kept yelling out, "Oh YEAH!" "Look at that!"). Then, we went on It's a Small World before going to our appointments at the Bibbidi Bobbodi Boutique. SO COOL! Then, we rode on the carousel before going to Cinderella's castle for lunch. We left there and rode Peter Pan before meeting up with Madalyn Eagles and her family to ride on the Magic Carpet Ride. We then decided to wait in line to see Tinkerbell. We ate in Tomorrowland where we decided I would go back to the hotel with Bella, while Brian would stay and see the Main Street Electric parade with Liv.

Thurs, Nov 24: (Thanksgiving) We met up with family in Karen's room and then took the boat to Hollywood Studios. We got a fast pass right away for the Rockin' Rollercoaster. Then we were off to do the Toy Story ride, the stunt show, and then met up with the whole family at Hollywood & Vine for Thanksgiving lunch. The food was good and it ended up being a character meal--surprise! Then Brian and I rode the Rockin' Rollercoaster (2 times since neither girl was riding) before meeting up with Aunt Janet and Karen. We got sweatshirts before heading to Fantasmic light show. We left there and ate at Pizza Planet and then went through the Osborne light display--amazing! We shopped a bit before heading back to the boat. We went to Karen's room for a while to visit with the family before going to bed.

Fri, Nov 25: We had a wonderful breakfast with Aunt Janet, Karen, Alan and Cheryl at the Yaught Club and then headed out to Epcot (walking distance from our resort). We started out by getting fast passes for Soaring. Then Brian took Liv back to get different shoes and I took Bella to shop for passport books. We started going through all of the countries and right away, saw Marie in France (Aristocats). She was going on break so we went in to shop (Bella bought a Marie stuffed animal, Liv bought a Marie pencil box). Then, we waited in line for Marie. SHE WENT NUTS over Bella having a Marie doll. It was so cute! Then we continued through the countries and found Donald by Mexico. We were a bit early for our lunch reservations at the inside-nighttime restaurant, so we rode the gondolla. After we ate, we used our fast passes for Soaring and then decided to go back because the girls wanted to swim. We saw Alice in Wonderland outside her cottage before going back. Aunt Janet ended up getting the girls early (she was going to take them for the evening--and they planned on going to Magic Kingdom for the parade and fireworks--while Brian and I went on our anniversary dinner at the California Grill at the top of the Contemporary hotel). Before our dinner, Brian and I shopped at Downtown Disney and then headed over to the Contemporary. Dinner was delicious! And...we got to see the MK fireworks from the balcony. When we returned to our table, we ate our meals and chose our dessert. We received complimentary champagne. It all was amazing!

Sat, Nov 26: We packed our bags and checked them downstairs so we could spend our morning at Animal Kingdom. We went straight to get a reservation for the African buffet (Tuskers) for lunch, and then on to the African Safari because we had heard the aimals were more active in the morning. After leaving there, we checked out Everest...saw it was a water ride, and walked around a bit more. We saw several other characters, including Lilo and Stitch. Lilo went on break before we got to the front of the line, but Stitch was a hoot! We ate lunch at Tuskers and headed back to the bus so we could shop a bit more (spend all of our snacks off of our card) and head to the Magic Express back to the airport!

seeing Mamaw

We went down one Sat October to see Mamaw. It was good to see her again. I know she loved our visit. And, who can forget Harley, Uncle Larry's bulldog? She is hilarious!

Anniversary

This year we stayed in town and I ran by Community Bakery and got cookies. Then met Brian to eat at Juanita's. We left there and went to Lucky 7 and got TATTOOS!! It hurt LIKE CRAZY (seriously, worse than labor), but we love how they look!

New pictures of the girls

I needed new pictures of the girls for a photo bag I get from Bella Baby, and also for Christmas cards. I am excited how they turned out!

Bella is SIX!

We gave Bella her birthdy present from us (a Nintendo DS) on the Sunday before her birthday so she could be using it during breaks at dance this week.

On her actual birthday, we woke her up with our traditional breakfast of cinnamon rolls (with a candle, of course). She could not wait to get to school to hear her name announced after the Pledge. :) She said she would get a birthday hat from Mrs. Ward also.

After school, we came home and started dinner preparations. I had decorated the house the night before, so we just had to finish cleaning and prep food. We planned to have a breakfast dinner for the family. We had french toast, eggs and bacon. For a birthday cake, Bella requested a BIG cookie. I made it into a peace sign for her. She loved it!

Camping Trip

We took our first family camping trip during the AEA weekend (first weekend in Nov--schools are out Thurs-Sun b/c of a state teacher convention). I took the girls up to Maumelle Park on Thursday afternoon. Brian met us out there. Two other families from church were already there. We set up our tent--AKA the CONDO--(the one I bought with birthday money.) And we loved it!

The first night we had chicken and potatoes for dinner. I had brought my projector and we showed Cars 2 on a big sheet. Brian left to go home (he had work the next day) and I stayed with the girls in our tent. It was a pretty eventful night. First, Bella had to get up to go to the bathroom--so I took her b/c she refused to pee in the woods). Then, Olivia had to go...but she was brave enough to go in the woods--ALONE! I couldn't believe it! Well, then we got cold in our tent so I bumped up the heater and blew a fuse. Luckily, Meredith was awake and came to reset the breaker--but then was chased by a skunk on her way back to her camper! What a night!

We got up and ate pancakes and oatmeal and sat around the fire. Brian came to the campsite early and we all went on a walk to explore. We came back and the kids were riding bikes and scooters all over! They took another walk (everyone but me--I was cleaning and organizing in the tent. SO MUCH FUN! Seriously...) and came back to make sandwiches for lunch. That afternoon, I took a shower and came back to find a few other families had joined us for dinner. We had hamburgers and hotdogs for dinner. YUM! Then we showed the Squeaquel with the projector for the kids while all of the adults hung out around the campfire. So much fun!

That night, Olivia got sick (ate too much Halloween candy) and puked in the tent. Nice... But we all slept well and got up the next morning for eggs, bacon and pancakes. I discovered the delicious taste of Peppermint Mocha creamer. I AM IN LOVE!

We then all went on a big long walk around the campsite. We saw the dock, and watched a boat get loaded in. We returned to the campsite to start working on dinner (spaghetti). I went to take another shower (I loved that shower...) and came back to help while kids rode their bikes. Kayla had been trying to teach Bella how to ride without training wheels, but Bella wasn't ready.

It was another night of movies (Daddy Daycare), smores, and fun. The kids went to bed and I stayed up talking to Brandi and Becky. We finally went to bed and left Brian and Nic up talking around the fire.

The next morning, Oliver made french toast with left over french bread. SO GOOD! (especially with my THREE cups of coffee and the peppermint mocha creamer!). We started packing up to go home.

I checked on the wolf spider I had grown to get attached to (it was in the bathroom corner for days), but he was gone... How can that be that I was a little sad not to see him?????

One other thing I forgot to mention, we all kept our food in the "van-try". Isn't that hilarious?

Certainly a trip we will never forget...and want to do it more often!
