Snow Day (barely)
We had only one "snow day" from school this year...but my district did not let out. It kept looking like it would be bad, but it never really did. The temperature went above freezing after lunch, but the girls had made a snowman for me to see when I got home (they got to stay home...)
Letters to Mamaw--add pic from mom
When mom went to visit Mamaw, she took letters the girls had written her. Mamaw was so happy to get them, and even took a picture of her with them.
Bella Goes to the Dentist
My children are NUTS! Liv is always so excited to go to the dentist that she got Bella so excited as well! She LOVED it! I guess I should be glad...
Masquerade at Bentonville--add pics from cd
We had an interesting competition. Bella had a panic attack before going on stage for her solo. But she eventually went on and I was so proud. Trouble got a special judges award ("Dynomite!"), got a platinum and came in first. It also was called back for the dance off. So exciting! Liv's group Diva did very well also--it got a high gold and 2nd overall. Please Don't Go got a platinum, and so did production.
Sunday afternoon, we had a break and went to see Crystal Bridges museum. We figured we would eat (delicious food!! YUM! I had the chicken salad and Brian had a burger) and look around a bit. It was beautiful. We want to go back sometime and look around more.
One thing we did NOT like about this competition was they had hired high school kids to stand outside our dressing rooms and monitor if we brought in anything but bottled water. It was CRAZY!
Tooth Fairy Note
Bella worried about the Tooth Fairy coming in her room so she finally settled on letting it stay in our room with this note.
Dress Rehearsal 2012
Dress rehearsal was Sunday before MLK, so we had planned for Olivia’s friend, Annison, spend the night that evening. But before we could pick her up, Bella had to do her solo on stage. She wasn’t sure which way to face (and faced the back the first time) so she got to do it again. Can’t believe my “baby” is doing a solo this year!!!! After that, we went to pick up Annison and get some lunch before returning to rehearsal. The day was long, but I always love seeing these dances on the stage for the first time!
During rehearsal, something BIG happened… Bella pulled out her own tooth!! She was standing in full costume, about to walk onto stage for production (the music had already started) when Stephie yells out, “Bella pulled her tooth!”. The music stops and Kristen runs over to her. Bella was a bit upset because it was bleeding some, but everyone clapped for her—what a special moment! So, I went to wash up her mouth while they continued practice. When we got home that night, she was very concerned that the Tooth Fairy would take her tooth. I told her Olivia had written notes to her before asking to keep it, so Bella insisted that I do that…

Christmas Day craziness
I had to work at the hospital on Christmas Day. Since it was also a Sunday, Brian met me at a Chinese restaurant for lunch. Then, we planned on meeting up at Mom's that evening with Emily and Justin. It felt like we were all over town, but at least we were together! ha!
New Year's Eve at the Fletcher's
With New Year’s Day being on a Sunday—this kind of put a kink in our “usual” New Year’s tradition of going to the Fletcher’s for football… So, we got together on the day before. Not much football, but still had the same great food—ham, Texas potatoes, finger foods, cheese balls, and…Laura’s wonderful black eyed peas!!! We stayed a little while and came home since church was in the morning.
Dad and Yvonne's Christmas with us
Dad and Yvonne flew in the next day for our Christmas with them. We went to the Butcher Shop for dinner (SO yum!),and then we went to Toys R Us so they could shop for Cooper and Silas. That evening, I helped Yvonne wrap the gifts after the kids went to bed. We got up the next day and went to Cabot to Fun Factory, an indoor inflatable place place for kids. Then we ate at Firehouse on our way back in to town. After Em’s kids woke up from a nap, we got together for dinner at Whole Hog and then went on to our house to open gifts. I got the first 3 Twilight DVDs.
